In Ostend, the queen of Belgian seaside resorts, TJIP interior architects realised a luxurious duplex suite flat with metropolitan allure. The penthouse illustrates how complex simplicity can be. Thanks to the mathematical approach of the interior architecture combined with a dedicated approach of light and textures, the Belgian interior studio created a high-level sensible space.
SKY Tower is a cosmopolitan landmark in Ostend, Belgium. For one of the flats in this high-rise building, TJIP interior architects created a transparent interior design that is complex in its simplicity. The duplex open room contains the lounge with its enormous ceiling height and a hidden staircase leads from this impressive open space to the private rooms with office, master, children's and guest room and three bathrooms.
Besides the mathematical approach of the design, the Belgian interior design studio focused on the experience and atmosphere of the residence by a selective curation of interior design furniture and also by aligning the colours and materials to the surroundings. The 180-degree views of the beach and sea are reflected in the choice of natural materials and calm tones. It makes this penthouse the ultimate place to receive people and to unwind.
Also clearly speaking for the work of TJIP is the dedicated approach to light and textures. That is why textiles are a welcome guest in their portfolio, softening the space and serving acoustics. The sum of all parts results in the highest level of instinctive interiors that immerse you in an endless feeling of serenity.
